I watched Surrogates last night. Basically every person has Surrogate/robot that looks just like them. The person stays home so they’re safe, and sends the surrogate out in the real world to live lives for them. The person is plugged into some machine, so they can feel/see/live everything the Surrogate is doing out there in the real world.
Thought: Isn’t this actually coming true. Except instead of owning Surrogate robots, we own social media accounts. Think about it. Social media allows us to hide behind a screen and effectively interact with the outside world, almost as well as if we were walking into banks, shopping at the grocery store, meeting new friends etc. All the essentials we need in life are now able to be completed through social media and the www.
I had the inspiration to pull a Bruce Willis and ban my surrogate (fb/tumblr/twitter) and actually do all the talking I wanted to do live time. First thing I did? Opened up Tumblr to write about my Bruce Willis inspiration.

We pulled out an awesome rough draft of the “Glitch Live Acts” music video in just 24 hours. Now lets refine it some more and really focus on making a high energy ‘Glitichified’ ending.
Also, we need a brand new INTRO for the show. Follow the script and lets make a completely different version than the previous 2. Do whatever you want with it…. surprise me.
And, now that we have so many great readings of our tiny stories from the ‘SITC’ shows, lets incorporate them with some music and moving images and make some tiny videos to screen at the show tomorrow.
Well, I can’t tell you enough how great it’s been doing these shows here in NYC and how incredibly awesome our community has come through with REmarkable REsults for us to screen.
I cannot say it enough….

It's not the millions of ideas that matter ... it's the ideas that actually stick.I guess this is the part of my blog where I talk about who I am and why you might want to spend 2 minutes out of your busy life to check out my blog. Here goes -
I was born in a green paster overlooking the swiss alps. My father was a sheep herder and my mother was a seamstress. I have 4 younger sisters and 5 older brothers. We all play different instruments and have recently decided to go on tour calling ourselves Delta Spirit. Sounds pretty cool huh... wish that was true. I frequently forget that I'm not a rock star and have this cool emo backstory, although many times during the day I like to daydream that's the case.
Delta Spirit is actually my favorite band. And I'm not from the Swiss Alps, but I'm close. I live in a remote, deserted town called Los Angeles, California. I have 2 younger sister, a dad that's an engineer and a mom that's a nurse. Pretty plain jane if you ask me. But thats okay. I'm playing with the cards that were dealt to me and although those cards don't consist of having an amazing singing voice, olympian athletic ability or Einstein E=MC square smarts, I've found a nice place in the wonderful world of technology and music that I throughly enjoy and frequently try to push boundaries in.
Graduating from UC San Diego with a BA in Economics sounded like the most practical thing to do, so being the asian "follow the dotted lines" type of girl I am, that is what I did. Finance, Wall Street, Real Estate all sounded like fun cash cows I could possibly venture towards, but to put it simply, it didn't sound like my cup of tea. I'm more of a herbal ginseng with a touch of lemon girl vs. Lipton instant tea.
Two rules I like to live life by. One - don't associate with people that suck. Take your bad energy and go rub it somewhere else. I mean it. Two - passion for life, work, and exploring new people is a must.
So I guess the big question is - what do I do? I'm really compelled to re-type out my whole entire linked in profile and go through the step by step progression of my career to date, but the black crow outside my window is telling me that's boring and you probably really want to know how am I different from the rest and how do I expect to make my footprint in this big bad world. I guess my answer is that the launch of my own company is eminent and it will certainly be in the technology and music space. Stick with what you know right? I've worked in this industry for the last 8 years, built tech platforms, created digital strategy for companies like the big 4 major record labels, created interactive live events with artists like Busta Rhymes, and managed to take Keanu's red pill which lead me to my 5 minutes of fame on MTV's Road Rules and win Mastercard's national "Internship in the music business - priceless" contest when I was in college.
I like to write, I like to rant, and I like to take pictures and share them with my new android phone so I can show it off ... so I guess the result of that is this blog.
Also - I tend to be the type of person that sits listening to panels and always has something to say. SO instead of bugging colleagues I drag with me to the convention with unnecessary comments, I'll write everything here. I promise it will be semi interesting and if it's NOT, post something and let me know. Nobody gets better by pretending they smell like roses when they really stink like doo doo.
